Noordwijk aan Zee
Sand beach
Noordwijk aan Zee offers 13 kilometres of wide sandy beach, a vibrant boulevard with beach pavilions, and the official ESPA spa resort status — one of only a few in the Netherlands. The Dutch national football team historically used Noordwijk as its base camp before international matches, staying at the legendary Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin. The beach borders the vast Hollands Duin nature reserve, offering excellent walking and cycling routes through the dunes. Located in the Bollenstreek, visitors in spring are treated to spectacular tulip fields and the famous flower parade. The Duindamseslag and Langevelderslag sections are car-free and especially peaceful, reachable only on foot or by bike.
