Cova do Vapor Beach
Sand beach
Praia da Cova do Vapor is the northernmost beach on the Costa da Caparica coastline, still home to a charming, old-fashioned fishing village with an atmosphere unlike anything else on this coast. It is an ideal choice if you want to make the most of the day without wasting time hunting for parking spaces further south. The village has its own character, with a handful of restaurants and bars serving honest, traditional Portuguese seafood. At the Albatroz restaurant, do not leave without trying the freshly grilled sardines — some of the finest on the entire coast. A wonderfully authentic slice of coastal Portugal that feels refreshingly local.
